Harvest - a film by Prahallad Nith (4K)

In Harvest, I turn a simple hillside into a moving line of silhouettes; a quiet choreography between land, people, and time.

Filmed from a single, unchanging viewpoint, the scene unfolds on terraced farmland beneath an expansive sky. Figures move along the ridge, lifting filled sacks, gathering in clusters, loading a waiting vehicle. Their forms stay distant, reduced to outlines and gestures; allowing the rhythm of work to speak louder than the individuals within it.

As the vehicle finally pulls away, the ridge empties, leaving behind only the mountain and the layered fields; the landscape returning to its stillness as though exhaling after a long motion.

Shot with a stationary camera.
Focus: The world moved when I sat still.
Theme: Stillness framing the quiet choreography of everyday labour in silhouettes.
Location: Muligoor, Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, India

Harvest continues my ongoing exploration of minimalism, distance, and the poetry found in everyday labour. A study in silhouettes, repetition, and the subtle beauty of collective movement across the land.
